The new PS3 firmware is out and along with it, the rollout of the new PSN store. The new store looks great. According to Sony usability has been improved for a more enjoyable shopping experience. They also included DTS-HD MA and DTS-HD HR audio compatibility support.

Anyway, the new-look PS Store looks very good and it now has pretty audio cues for every “click”, including opening up the store! Browsing is a breeze; most pages take less than a second to load. In addition, many of the thumbnails aren’t displaying correctly at the moment; you’ll see numerous “missing image” placeholders instead. But again, the overall “shopping experience” is indeed more enjoyable — you’ll quickly find yourself wondering how you ever survived with the old store.



Question is when we will see games like the Orange box in that store :P
This should hopefully also speed up general mod support on the PS3.
