Valve has released the first of what they say is to be a series of tv adverts.
As part of the $10 million marketing campaign for its upcoming Xbox 360 and PC thriller, Left 4 Dead, Valve is airing a pair of television commercials on network and cable television. Created with footage from the game's opening sequence, the L4D TV campaign begins on November 8. The full intro sequence will be available for public preview in the coming days.
As sales of Left 4 Dead have topped those of the Orange Box, there's no wonder that Valve are cramming the game down our throats left, right and centre. The video features the song 'Grounds for Divorce' by British band Elbow, who recently won the Mercury Award for their fourth studio album 'The Seldom Seen Kid'. Clearly Valve want to make a big impression with L4D and using a song which was tipped as the 'Song of the Summer' in the UK is definitely a good way to go about it.
