After the Steam release of Saints Row 2 was delayed a few days ago, it has now been given a new European release date - for in a few weeks time.

In a post on the official Saints Row blog, it states:

Another delay for Europeans, but will all this waiting be worth it? Let's hope the port is decent

"For our users outside of the Western hemisphere, Saints Row 2 PC is expected to ship to retail outlets in Europe on January 23, 2009 and Australia on February 5, 2009, at which time the digital download for those regions will also go live."

With the game already having been released in the US, this news is clearly going to upset fans who were eagerly waiting its digital release.
