Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 2 will receive free downloadable maps for multiplayer in the first week after its release.
Posting on the Dawn of War 2 community blog, producer Mark Noseworthy said that the maps would be completely free for players to download.
He also explained that, while there will be lots of free downloadable content in the future for the game, Relic were very interested in releasing bigger, paid DLC too:
"There may even be some DLC available during the first few weeks after the game's released if everything goes to plan... we've got planned scheduled patches and data updates through 2009 and beyond."
The game, which recently went gold, is to have a special multiplayer beta release on January 28 for Steam users only - or Jan 21st for all those Steam gamers who own a copy of Dawn of War: Soulstorm.
