Steam Community, Friends And Purchasing Down

Valve have announced that steam is under-going emergency maintenance, and the Steam Community and Friends system will be off line for the duration of the maintenance. Purchasing has also been disabled whilst the maintenance is occurring.

UPDATE: Complete functionality has now returned.
